Plus, Cobco offers poly-pipe, several irrigation gates, hole tools, clear sleeves, gaskets, water meters and various other irrigation-related accessories.
Steve and Kelley Pitts purchased Cobco (aka Cobb Sales) from Pat Cobb on August 25, 2011. We look forward to serving you, following the high standards Pat adhered to in her family-run Lubbock business since 2000. Steve and Kelley were raised with an entreprenuerial spirit and are thrilled to take over the reins of Cobco and watch it grow.
Steve Pitts, Texas Tech graduate, grew up in the Lubbock area under the tutelage of his late dad, Ted Pitts, who owned a construction business here for several decades. Steve learned the importance of starting from the ground up, working with your own hands, and surrounding yourself with good people. He learned patience from his late mother, Laverne Pitts, who was devoted to her family. IDC Products, owned by Steve since 1980, features parts for irrigation engines including throttle cables, site gauges and more. In addition, Steve produces and engineers the radio broadcast for Texas Tech football and owns Raiderpower.com. Thank heavens the busiest seasons for those don't coincide with the busiest seasons for irrigation!
Kelley Pitts, also a Texas Tech graduate, grew up in Colorado City, Texas as a dryland cotton farmer's daughter. Kelley's dad, Ed Roach recently retired from his County Commissioner and farmer roles, but Kelley still shares her dad's heartfelt connection to the earth...especially the good 'ol West Texas soil! (Occasional wind, sand, dirt and haboobs are even tolerable as long as we can enjoy our beautiful daily sunrises and sunsets in this area!) Kelley's mom, Winnie Roach, owned and managed a Merle Norman studio (or two!) for decades. Kelley caught the bug early to own her own business and enjoyed home-based businesses while focusing on her advertising/marketing/PR career.
